Let's start at the very begining...
Who doesn't sometimes fantasize about quitting their job and 'living the dream', whatever that may be? I think we can all be honest and say that it's crossed our mind a time or two. I've recently picked up again on a couple hobbies that I had long ago: sewing and embroidery. Suddenly one day it dawned on me that I'd much rather be sewing for a living than shoveling dirt (by the way, I work at a construction site where we do excavation, so that's quite literal). And thus a new and exciting path in my life has begun. I can't do it alone though, so I'm looking for a little support and constructive criticism to help me along my journey. There are so many wonderful and interesting things I stumble along each day. Can't wait to share all - even if it is Slightly Flighty!

Hi Jen, My name is Janie and I am a friend of you sister Tracy. We both work you know where. She shared your blog with me today and a I had to write and tell you ...."You go girl"! I would love to be in a position that allowed me to follow my heart's desire...fiber art. I do follow it just not professionally. I am assuming you are very netknowledgable..... but in case you need some things to check into... Check out etsy.com a great little spot to showcase and sell your stuff. Also don't under price your product. Remember you have to account for your creativity and labor not just materials. I have you blog bookmarked and will check back with you. I understand your passion.... I have and still do quilt, weave, spin, sew, art dolls, crochet, felt, knit, collage, dye stuff, etc etc. If it has something to do with fiber I have probably tried it or plan to. What fun. If you want to connect le me know your e-mail address via Tracy...
